1 The game allows the player to create their own Sim, neighborhoods, houses, and families. When the Free Time expansion pack came out, I was at first reluctant to buy it because it may be as problematic as its predecessor, the Bon Voyage expansion pack, which I despaired of and eventually didn't buy because of reported difficulties in game play. It is the sequel to the first game in the franchise, The Sims. I am an avid fan of The Sims 2 so I'm one of those waiting in line every time EA Games releases a new expansion pack. The christmas packs do include a Santa sim and baking cookies, though. The Sims 2 is a 2004 strategic life simulation video game developed in Redwood City, California studio of Maxis and published by Electronic Arts.

Off the top of my head thats what they mostly do (give or take i missed something important) The cheaper stuff packs (glamor life, IKEA, family fun.etc) just contain stuff, no new code features. Seasons = seasons (summer, winter, fall, spring), snow, rain/lighting/hail, failing leaves, gardens, growable tomatoes, peppers.etc, temperatures, build snowmen, snowball fights, more badges (gardening.), plant sims, ability to put leftovers in fridge.īon voyage = vacation subhoods (asianish, lumberjackish, and tikish), hotels, beachs, saunas, bigfoot, treasure hunting (digging dirt), more jewelery optionsįreetime = hobbies skills, more workbenches (includes working with clay, rebuilding car.etc), more badges, contestsĪpartment life = living in apartments (more than one family can live on a lot, each family treated seperately), lot more kids toys (monkey bars.etc), circular staircase, ceilings, witches, ownable helicopter Pets = pets (dogs and cats only, birds and hamsters are simple objects), pets can get jobs, werewolves Open for Business = ownable business lots, badges (for restocking/cashering/salesmen/flower,toy,robot making), toy, floral, and robot making workstations, elevators, sevros (sim robots), lockable doors

(installation order is more or less irrelevant in Sims 2) Each expansion adds new features/stuff to the existing Sims 2 game.
